Efficient heating in the palm of your hand
The Energy Control System (ECS) is an app based whole home heating solution developed in Norway. This panel heater accessory links your Nobo panel heaters to allow you to centrally control your heating with your smartphone or tablet.
What is the Energy Control System
"Simple to install and setup, keep your family warm and healthy and reduce your power bills at the same time.
The app-based home heating solution give you the functions to set the temperature, timers and schedule each room in your home from your smartphone or tablet. Create 'zones' to suit the family's schedule, set weekly programs and temperature settings for easy management or use one of the pre-programmed sets. Easily override the programs temporarily for when things don't go to plan, so that your heater isn't running when it's not needed."
How it Works - Just set and forget!
You will need a Nobo Panel heater + Hub + Receiver + ECS App
The HUB connects to your wireless router with a network cable, allowing it to communicate wirelessly with the app and with all Nobo heaters in range that have been fitted with the NCU2R receiver.
Creating Heating zones and schedule: Organise all the heaters into zones and give each zone a weekly program to suit the family's daily schedule - ensuring you heat the rooms in your home only when they are needed. For example, set the bedroom zones to heat before bed and when you wake up, and the kitchen zone to heat around cooking times. You can also set different temperatures for different times of the day and re-adjust your weekly schedule easily.
How the Nobo ECS adjusts to your everyday life
Carrie has just bought the Energy Control System HUB with a few panel heaters. She plans to divide her apartment into four zones. A zone for her bedroom heater, a zone for her kitchen and living room heaters and a zone for the heating in the bathroom.
She adds the receivers using “automatic search” on her phone app, one zone at a time to avoid confusion. She names each zone and receiver with easily recognisable names. This makes it simple for both herself and her best friend who often borrows the apartment in the summer. Finally she enters zone settings for each zone, and makes a weekly program for each one. For the bedroom, she makes a program that turns on the heat before she gets up on weekdays. On the heater she sets the ECO-setting to 14 degrees and the COMFORT setting to 19 degrees. On weekends, she enjoys reading in bed for a while in the morning. She then adapts the weekly program to keep the heat on for a bit longer on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
To save energy, she lets the program turn the bathroom and kitchen/living room heat to ECO when she is at work on weekdays.
If she goes away for the weekend, Carrie takes out her phone and presses and holds AWAY in the Circle Menu for advanced override settings. She selects FROM-TO and enters the time and date for leaving and returning. This ensures her saving energy and money while away. All heat zones then switch to AWAY status. All zones return to Normal after 2 days when she comes home.
